Painting and a Taste for Art

A 3 Day Arts-Inspired Painting Experience in the Pacific Northwest

Suited to the experienced painter or the beginner, this 3 day adventure combines the joys of art-making with a day of cultural delights. Enjoy 2 and 1/2 days of lavish studio painting, and either a morning or afternoon personalized field trip. Our cultural field trip includes visits to select local fine art studios representing a variety of visual art media, where you’ll learn about other forms of artistic expression and find inspiration for your own work. This is an opportunity to see artisans at work in their private venues, and to gain insight into common ‘threads’ and practices across art forms and disciplines – things that inform and guide artists toward different modes of artistic expression. Our field trip on the 2nd day includes lunch at a popular Bellingham Bistro/Brew Pub, and a chance to interact with locals socially. Stop in at Big Rock Garden Park for an inspiring sculpture walk on your way back to the studio, where you’ll paint the rest of the day. Catered lunches and healthy snacks on studio days –  no need for art materials, tools etcetera, as all are conveniently provided.
